In the course of time, we have developed and released a lot of products. Due to several reasons, some of these products are no longer available. Since the amendment of the German Copyright Law in 2003 we are no longer allowed to sell some of our products.
Especially MovieJack, GameJack and CDRWIN 3.8 have been very familiar products of our development devision. The original version of MovieJack was able to copy DVD-videos with
CSS copy protection. Due to restraining orders of several companies of the music industry
we had to stop selling MovieJack. GameJack
and CDRWIN have been modified and cut in their functionalities due to amended Copyright Laws as well.
AudioJack was one of the first software able to record music from Internet radio. The software was even mentioned on Tagesschau, a German news broadcast.
Magix CD burnR
With Magix CD burnR, in 2001 Magix has published the first burning software. The software has been very popular especially in USA but also in Germany.
CDRWIN was the first software able to copy Playstation 1 CDs (in combination with modchip). CDRWIN had been at top of the European software charts for a very long time.
DCS - DVD Copy Suite
DCS was one of the first products able to split and transcode DVD-videos. It also contained virtual DVD drives and was able to remove CSS copy protection of DVDs.
DiscSafe assured easy and efficient backups and was distributed in large quantities with blank CDs by Memorex. DiscSafe is still used by many companies for data backup.
In cooperation with DivX Networks we have launched DivX Pro 5.1 and a suitable converter in Japan and Europe. By now, DivX is less common and has been replaced by h.264.
DiscJuggler was one of the first software able to burn on multiple CD/DVD-recorder at the same time and had support for burning robots. We have distributed this software by Padus in Europe exclusively.
DVD X Copy Plus 5
DVD X Copy Plus, distributed by 321 Studios, had been one of the best sold ripper in USA, and perhaps even world-wide.
However, 321 Studios Inc. had been closed after various patent suits.
Later even sold under the product names 'Click and Keep' or 'Simon Tools E-Mail Backup', the software should first be distributed in cooperation with TuneUp as TuneUp E-Mail Backup.
GamesXCopy, also distributed by 321 Studios, had a great name as burning software for games in USA. It included virtual drives and had at its time also support for games with Securom Tages or Safedisc copy protection.
The European version of GamesXCopy was named GameJack and was part of the sales charts for several years. It was able to analyze and emulate any common copy protections of that time.
MovieJack was among other things able to convert DVD-videos and VCDs with copy protection. The software was number 1 in nearly every European country and in Japan and was often mentioned in German media.
At that time, when there were as yet no Blu-rays, MovieJack DVD was able to transcode or compress DVD to a DVD disc. It took some time, but the quality was very good.
Virtual CD drives had been popular some time before and SimDisc was able to create 53 virtual drives - even as server in networks. Unfortunately, the time of data CDs is over now...
XP Turbo has been first choice in the case of system-tuning tools in Japan for years. It contained any important tuning-function and it reached a high increase in speed for XP.
