The 2018 World Cup schedule: All TV dates and the complete 2018 FIFA World Cup match schedule in Russia

All 64 matches of the 2018 World Cup can be watched live on ARD and ZDF in Germany. 32 teams fighting for the throne of the football world. Can Germany defend the title for the first time? Who will be World Champion 2018 in Russia? Venues, TV broadcasts, results, goals, tables, news and the match schedule for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia – we have summarised all the important information for you in an overview of the FIFA World Cup in Russia:

The opening match will start on Friday, 14 June 2018 at 5 pm. The Russian national team will then open the 21st World Championship in the Olympic Stadium Luschniki. The group stage will take place from 14 to 28 June. There are three games per group matchday: 2:00, 5:00 and 8:00. The last matches of the group match days start at 4 pm and 8 pm.

The final round begins on 30 June. In the round of 16 and quarter finals there will be two matches per day, at 4 pm and 8 pm respectively. The semi-final matches will then take place on 10 and 11 July at 8 pm. The final will be played on July 15th at 5 pm.

The opening match Russia vs. Saudi Arabia shows the ARD as a free TV broadcast. Starting in the round of 16, the channels ARD and ZDF will alternate. The final will be shown on ZDF. The experts Oliver Kahn and Oliver Welke will accompany you. Following the departure of Mehmet Scholl, Philip Lahm joins Matthias Opdenhövel’s team at ARD. The presenters of both stations are not “on location” in Russia, but in Baden-Baden!

The 4 prank candidates who were allowed to participate in the training camp in Austria and not to the World Championships: Bernd Leno, Jonathan Tah, Leroy Sane and Nils Petersen.

And another side note: German coach Jogi Löw extended his contract until the 2022 World Cup in Qatar shortly before the World Cup, Oliver Bierhoff as manager of the national team even until 2024, making them both members of the national team since July 2004 – whereby Jogi Löw was Jürgen Klinsmann’s first two years as co-coach. 2024 the European Championship takes place in Germany or Turkey. On 24 September 2018, UEFA will announce which of the two countries will be awarded the 2024 European Championship.
