OnlineTV 20 – Watching TV online has never been easier

You probably know this from the World Cup: the neighbors were already cheering in front of the TV, but for you, the ball was still "live" in your own penalty area. With OnlineTV, you watch what is called a live stream. But live doesn't always mean immediately live: the different transmission paths can be up to 100 seconds apart. The minimum requirements for OnlineTV on a smartphone or tablet are Android 5 (Lollipop) or higher. You need an ARMv7 CPU or higher (Intel is not supported). For installation, "Installation from unknown sources" must be enabled on your device.

First, activate OnlineTV on Windows with your product key, then register the program with your email address in the "Settings" → "My Data" menu. Then click on "Connection Settings" and activate "Enable access to Android app for my email address". After that, you can download the app for Android.

The quality of videos on the internet always depends on the number of users accessing a video simultaneously, and on the connection of the respective server – as well as, of course, your own internet speed.

What you should definitely do: Update Windows to the latest version, update OnlineTV, update the drivers for your graphics and sound card. If that doesn't help, try disabling your firewall and/or other security and tuning tools.

Firewall ports: Port 80 (outgoing TCP), Port 1935 (outgoing TCP and UDP) and Port 19350-65535 (incoming UDP).

As soon as a recording is started, OnlineTV checks whether a valid audio recording source is available. Problems usually only arise if your computer has an audio HD chipset.

Open the audio properties by right-clicking on the volume icon. Select "Recording devices" → "Show disabled devices". Right-click on "Stereo Mix" and select "Enable". You should also always install the latest driver for your sound card.

The software is ready – unfortunately, Apple has rejected the app multiple times and apparently does not want such software in its App Stores. It's a shame, but we cannot change it. However, there is a solution for macOS on onlinetv-software.com.

The list of channels is regularly updated and, most importantly, expanded. Please simply click on "Click here for more channels" at the bottom of the "TV" menu and follow the instructions.

In the "Recording Settings" under "Settings", you can select the video format. If an option is greyed out, the appropriate codec is no longer installed on your system or is not accessible. We warn against installing so-called "codec packs" – these usually do more harm than good.

This is a false positive, a so-called "false positive". All OnlineTV development systems are checked several times a day by various security programs. If you want to be absolutely sure, check the digital signature of the EXE file (right-click → "Digital Signature").
