✨What's New in Version 11

💻System Requirements

For video: The faster the processor and graphics card, the shorter the wait time. For large videos, also ensure you have enough free storage space — at least twice the size of the source file.

📦Installation

Windows

Run MyFormatConverter11-…-x64-setup.exe and follow the Setup Wizard. If the Microsoft WebView2 Runtime is missing from your PC, the setup will automatically install it.

Mac

Open the file MyFormatConverter11-…-arm64.dmg (Mac with Apple chip) or …-x64.dmg (Mac with Intel processor) and drag MyFormatConverter 11 into the Applications folder. You can see which processor your Mac has under → About This Mac.

Linux

• AppImage: Make the file executable (chmod +x MyFormatConverter11-…-x86_64.AppImage) and launch.
• Ubuntu/Debian: sudo apt install ./MyFormatConverter11-…_amd64.deb
• Fedora/openSUSE: sudo dnf install ./MyFormatConverter11-….x86_64.rpm

🏠Home

After launching, you will see nine tools. First select the tool, then the files. The most recently used tool is highlighted.

At the bottom of the home screen, you can see whether hardware acceleration was detected and which formats it accelerates.

🔑Editions & License

Premium tools are marked with a badge on the home screen. You can launch the demo via Activate → Launch Demo; at the top of the bar, you can see how many days are remaining.

✅Activation

1. Click Activate at the top (or Settings → License).
2. Enter your license key. It has the format MF2-PRE-XXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XX and is in your order email. Case and spaces do not matter.
3. Click Activate.

If the key contains a typo, the program will report it immediately, even before checking with the server. An internet connection is required for activation itself; after that, you can continue working offline.

Under Settings → License, you can see the product, edition, and device. There you can also recheck the license or remove the key from this device.

🔄Updates

MyFormatConverter 11 automatically searches for updates on launch (can be disabled under Settings → General). You can check manually via Check for Updates. Updates within version 11 are free.

Every update is checked for authenticity before installation (checksum and digital signature). No personal data is transmitted during this process.

🎞️Convert Video

1. Add Files

Click ＋ Add Files or drag files or entire folders into the window. Folders are included with their subfolders; the folder structure is preserved in the destination folder.

In the list, you can see the format, video, and audio tracks for each file. For each file, you can:

• ▶ Preview — play the video,
• ✂ Cut — set the start and end,
• ✕ — remove the file from the list.

Use Sort by to arrange the list by name, size, or date.

2. Choose Destination Format

Choose a Profile as a starting point — for example, for iPhone, iPad, Android, Smart TV, or Apple TV. If you are unsure, choose a general profile like MP4 · H.264; it plays on almost every device.

Under Custom Parameters, you can set the file format, video codec (H.264, H.265/HEVC, AV1, etc.), quality, resolution, frame rate, as well as the audio codec, channels, and sample rate yourself. With Save, you can create your own profile from these settings.

3. Start

Choose the Destination Folder and click Start Conversion. You can see the progress and remaining time for each file. Cancel stops the conversion immediately; incomplete files are automatically removed.

📺TV Recordings

Recordings from satellite, cable, or DVB-T receivers (.ts, .ts4, .rec, .pvr, .dvr, etc.) are often damaged: image errors, audio desynchronization, or playback interruptions. MyFormatConverter 11 automatically detects such files in Convert Video and offers to repair them during conversion (Premium).

🎵Convert Audio

Add music files and choose the destination format: MP3, AAC, FLAC, WAV, Opus, or OGG. If you are unsure, choose MP3 — it plays on practically every device. For MP3, choose the quality as a VBR level (V0 = best to V6 = low quality).

Rip Audio CD

Insert an audio CD and click 💿 Rip Audio CD. The tracks will be ripped and appear in the list; after that, choose the destination format as usual.

🪄Optimize Video

First, choose what you want to achieve:

Image Enhancement

Automatically Improve (recommended) analyzes the material and automatically corrects contrast, tone, and color cast. The correction is determined once per scene and then locked in — this keeps it stable and prevents flickering. Use Strength to determine how pronounced the effect is.

Optionally, give your video a Look or Film Emulation and adjust the intensity. Under Manual Corrections, you can manually adjust warmth, highlights, shadows, contrast, and sharpness.

With View Before and After, you can compare before and after directly in the image — move the slider left and right to do so.

🔍Upscale Video (AI)

Artificial intelligence upscales small or old videos and adds details instead of just blowing up the image. You can find the tool in Optimize Video as the fourth card.

1. Type of Material: Real Footage (movies, mobile phone videos) or Animation.
2. Quality: Fast or Best Quality (Slow).
3. Target Size: double size, Full HD, or 4K — as well as the output format and codec.

Before starting, MyFormatConverter 11 measures how long the calculation will take on your computer with a short test run. With the preview, you can see a section of the image upscaled by AI next to the classically upscaled version.

🖥️Supported Graphics Cards for AI

“Upscale Video (AI)” calculates on the graphics card and requires Vulkan for this — almost all graphics cards from the last ten years support this, provided up-to-date drivers are installed:

The more computing power the graphics card has, the faster it goes. Integrated graphics (Intel, AMD processor graphics) work, but are significantly slower than a dedicated graphics card. About 2 GB of graphics memory is sufficient. If a weaker graphics card cannot handle it, MyFormatConverter 11 automatically continues calculating in smaller image chunks — this takes longer, but it will complete.

🕶️2D → 3D

Turns normal videos into 3D movies. Choose the 3D format:

• Anaglyph (Red-Cyan) — for simple 3D glasses, on any screen.
• Side-by-Side / Top-and-Bottom — for 3D TVs and VR headsets.

With Image Offset and Depth, you set the strength of the 3D effect. The runtime of each file is displayed in the list.

🧽Remove Channel Logo

Draw a frame around the station logo or overlay in the preview. Multiple areas are possible; each frame can be moved and resized later. The preview immediately shows the result. The program remembers the last used position — practical when recording multiple clips from the same station.

Then click Start removing station logo.

🏷️Add logo

Choose your logo (preferably a PNG with a transparent background). Set the position, size, opacity, and margin — the preview shows the result live. With Start adding logo, the logo is permanently added to the video.

🫥Blur

Mark faces, license plates, or name tags with frames in the preview — multiple at the same time. Choose Blur or Pixelate and the intensity. The preview shows the result; then Start blurring.

🖼️Create slideshow

Add photos and short video clips — individually or as a whole folder with subfolders. For each image, set the transition, transition duration, and a caption.

Choose an audio file. If the music is shorter than the slideshow, the program will indicate this. The displayed total duration already takes all transitions into account.

If desired, the image enhancer automatically optimizes your photos beforehand.

💿Burn CD / DVD / Blu-ray

Add the files, set the order, give the disc a name, and select the correct burner when multiple drives are available. Burning is included on Windows and Mac, not on Linux.

🔊Audio track

In Convert to video, you can remove the audio track. In Optimize video, 2D → 3D, Remove station logo, Add logo, and Blur, choose between:

• Keep original,
• Remove audio,
• Custom audio — e.g. music; if the file is shorter than the video, it will repeat and end with the video.

⚡Performance & remaining time

In every tool, you choose how much MyFormatConverter 11 uses your computer — even while the job is running:

The remaining time is displayed continuously. Upon finishing or canceling, all background processes are cleanly terminated.

⚙️Settings

General

Language (or system language), default destination folder, start maximized, performance level, automatic update search.

Profiles

Manage custom profiles, show or hide built-in profiles, import and export profiles, file name suffix for converted files.

License

Product, edition, device, and license key; re-check or remove the license from the device.

Privacy

Anonymous usage statistics — disabled by default, only with your consent. Your videos, file names, and contents are never transmitted; the processing takes place entirely on your computer.

🛟Support & log

If something does not work as expected, the log helps us troubleshoot. It contains the selected settings, the processed files, and any error messages.

1. Open Settings → Diagnostics.
2. Click Copy all.
3. Paste the text into your message to our support and briefly describe what you did.

Please also state: operating system, MyFormatConverter 11 version number (under About), and — if possible — a sample file or its format.

❓Frequently Asked Questions

The converted video only plays audio on the Mac.

Use the MP4 · H.264 profile. H.264 plays on every device; H.265/HEVC only on newer devices.

The file is named “…_1.mp4”.

There was already a file with this name in the destination folder. MyFormatConverter 11 never overwrites and therefore appends a number.

“Start demo” does not work.

An internet connection is required to start the demo. The demo can be started once per device.

“Enlarge video (AI)” is locked.

The AI feature is only included in the purchased full version, not in the demo.

I want to move to a new computer.

Remove the key from the old device under Settings → License and activate it on the new one — whether Windows, Mac, or Linux.
