Optional: connect your own translation services
MovieJack Translate translates locally on your computer by default. If desired, you can also enter your own access credentials (API key) from an external provider and use their translation quality. Supported providers include:

• DeepL (deepl.com)—specialized translation service. Beginners receive a free allowance (DeepL API Free); DeepL determines the scope and terms.
• OpenAI / ChatGPT (platform.openai.com)—AI language model for translations.
• Anthropic / Claude (anthropic.com)—AI language model for translations.
• Google Gemini (ai.google.dev)—AI language model for translations.
• Mistral (mistral.ai)—European AI language model for translations.

Connecting an external service is completely optional: You create the respective key yourself with the provider, and it remains on your computer. When using an external service, only the subtitle text is sent to that provider; the provider bills you directly. Without your own key, MovieJack Translate continues to translate locally.

Notes
The Translate feature is available for Windows and macOS. The AI tools are downloaded once during first use. Free local translation is intended for personal use; for commercial purposes, please use one of the external translation services.

License
Available with 1, 2, or 3 years of updates.
During the selected term, you will receive new software versions, improvements, and technical updates at no additional cost. After the term expires, the software remains available for unlimited use.
