Setup

To make getting started easier for you, this chapter contains all important information for setting up MovieJack on your PC. To install MovieJack, please proceed as follows:

Important: Before the first program start, please ensure that your PC is connected to the internet so that MovieJack can be licensed and activated.

Demo Version

You can test all MovieJack functions for 2 days. If MovieJack has already convinced you, please refer to the Licensing section for more information.

Licensing

Regarding program licensing, two different scenarios are conceivable: Has MovieJack convinced you within the demo period and you want to buy it? Then please click on 'Buy full version'. Do you already own a valid license key for MovieJack? Then please click here: 'Enter license key'.

If you want to purchase MovieJack, click the 'Buy full version' button in the window. To license your version, please click the 'Enter license key' button. You either received the license key in an email (for an online purchase) or it is included with the MovieJack package.

After entering, simply click the 'Check and activate license key' button. A message will then appear, informing you whether you have entered the license key correctly or not. A license key is only valid for one PC.

Important: Please start our software for entering the serial number once with a right-click and the option "Run as administrator" to avoid problems with Windows access rights.

Please note that an existing internet connection is absolutely necessary to verify the license key! Note: Reinstalling the application is not necessary even if you purchased MovieJack after the demo version expired.

Update

All registered users generally receive free updates for their respective program versions for a guaranteed 1 year! To update the program, click on 'Update' in the menu bar. The check only takes a very short time and should be repeated regularly.

Tip: Activating the 'Automatically check for updates' option in the settings ensures that MovieJack automatically checks for updates when the program starts. Note: The update assistant only transmits the program data necessary for the update, but of course no personal information.

Here you will be briefly explained how to download videos with MovieJack and convert them to MP3s.

The following settings serve to adapt MovieJack's behavior to your wishes. You can access these settings via the 'Settings' menu item.

General Settings

Adding Videos

On a video platform such as YouTube, find a video or playlist of your choice and copy its address from the browser's address bar into the 'Add URL' input field at the very top of the software. URL is an abbreviation for Uniform Resource Locator and looks like this, for example:

Then click the + button to the right of the input field to add your desired video to the download list.

Alternatively, you can also click on the cloud icon to the left of the input field. This will immediately add the URL that is in your clipboard.

Select Download Path

By clicking the button with the three dots, you can select the path where the videos should be saved. The drive icon to the left of this line opens exactly this path.

Download List

Right-clicking in the download list gives you the following options:

Conversion to MP3

You also have the option to extract the audio track from the downloaded video after the download. To do this, activate the 'Automatically convert to MP3' option at the bottom left of the software.

Start Download

Once you have selected your videos and desired settings, you can start the download. To do this, click the 'Start' button at the bottom left of the software.
